POST/CON 24
Project Overview
Role: Design Lead
Year: 2024
POST/CON 24 marked Postman's return to hosting its user conference after a Covid hiatus, and it came back as their largest event to date. Over two days in San Francisco, the community reconnected through presentations, AI panel discussions, hands-on API workshops, and immersive product demos.
Visual Direction
The visual theme drew directly from Postman: API-First Journey, Postman's mobile game following the Postmanaut through a world of broken APIs and mismanaged processes. The game's visual world, its characters, environments, and power-ups, became the creative backbone of the event, building on the core brand while giving attendees something familiar in an entirely new context.
Brand Systems
The guidelines and design system were built as a cohesive extension of the Postman brand, ensuring every application, from the website to printed materials, felt consistent and intentional. Visual diversity was introduced through the arcade theme without compromising brand recognition.
Keynote Design
The keynote was designed as a full production, with stage graphics, animations, and an opening sequence built to set the tone from the moment the lights went down. Every element was considered as part of a single, continuous experience.
Event Space Branding
The Hilton Union Square was transformed into an immersive brand environment. Signage, floor plans, wall graphics, activations, merchandise, and the Postmanaut mascot all worked together to make the space feel like an extension of the event's visual world, from the entryway to the closing talk.
After-Party
To close the conference, guests enjoyed a performance by T-Pain at the iconic August Hall. The venue was arranged to offer a fun, branded experience featuring Postman arcade games and the Postmanaut mascot.
